- These recommendations are based on Chapter 6 of Annex 14 of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization ).
- The number of light levels recommended depends on the height of the structure
- Low Intensity Aviation Obstruction lights should be used for structure with 45 m of height or less during night time.
- Medium Intensity Aviation Obstruction lights should be used for structure with more than 45 m and less than 150 m height.
- High Intensity Aviation Obstruction lights should be used for structure with more than 150m height.
